Working with Stephen Straz
216 Central ave Medford MA 02155
Hey! So Glad You're Here. We should talk.
So are you an Attorney thinking of representing Mr. Straz.

There are a few things you should know before taking on someone as a client.

For starters, there are a number of attorneys who have withdrawn from Mr. Straz cases. I can only think of two reasons why. You have no desire to help out a low-life continue to rip people off or he has run out of funds to pay for your services.

To protect the innocent, I'm not going to disclose which attorneys have dropped Straz as a client. You can read through the case documents and probably figure things out. I promise you it's not as tough as passing the bar. For whatever reason not all cases/docs are made public on this site and so you may need to do some additional research. I'd imagine it's a small world and everyone sort of knows each other so next time you are at a mixer start a conversation and watch the stories and drinks flow. He has had cases in family law / real estate / criminal cases. And in all areas, he has had to find new representation...the stories might one day end up in a true-crime podcast. (If you are interested in doing a podcast or exposing con-men then send an email, the only way to stop psychopaths is to warn others not to deal with them)
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

If you are a woman attorney (bonus points if you found him on a dating site, I believe this has happened more than once) he will probably try to use his charm and dreams of the future so that you don't need to be paid in money but rather in day dreaming of a life that will never be. You're a grown women and are able to make your own decisions just know that if things go south (and they will) Steve might file a complaint against you with the BBO board for being unethical. He has nothing to lose, you have your license. If you think this is just crazy talk then I implore you to speak to the BBO committee (I believe they know who he is) and get their insight.

If your still considering taking on Mr Straz as a client make sure you get paid. Make sure the retainer is paid and the check doesn't bounce. When more money is due make sure he pays (not just promising to pay in the future) else you will end up working for free. You might want to view his assets or employment history (which there is little) to make sure he is able to pay for your services.

Going to trail with a lawyer who considers your whole life-style a Crime in Progress is not a happy prospect.

If you are finding it difficult to collect money from Stephen Scott Straz, then you are certainly not alone.
In fact he is so good at not paying what is owed that the state has records (liens) against him.

See for yourself.

There is a strong paper trail with Taxes owed and child support. So it's easy for unpaid money to become a lien. So much more difficult for a person / company to put a lien against Mr. Straz (never mind collecting).
